The School Day

Dropping/Collecting Children

Parents may leave their children at the school gate, or wait with them on the top playground until the bell goes. Parents may wait outside their child's classroom at the end of the afternoon.
There is no access to classes for parents through the back gate.
For the safety of other children please do not stop even momentarily on the yellow lines outside the school, traffic wardens often visit and fines can and will be incurred.

Before School

Parents are reminded that children should not be on school premises before 8:40am, 10 minutes before the start of school. Staff are not responsible for supervising children before then.
When it is raining, children go straight to their classrooms, we would appreciate the children not arriving early on those mornings.
For safety reasons children are not allowed to play ball or use the adventure play equipment before or after school.

Lunch time

School dinners: You may pay by cheque (payable to Essex County Council), termly or half termly, by cash on the first day of each week stating clearly on the envelope on which day your child is to have a dinner. Dinners cost £1.35.
If your child is to have a packed lunch, please maske sure the lunch is enclosed in a secure box. Water is always available, other drinks must be in an unbreakable container. We do not allow fizzy drinks. Please check that everything is clearly labelled.

School Bus

If you intend your child to use the school bus and if on occasions your child is not to be on the bus, please telephone or write a note to us to confirm this so that when the bus register is checked there are no misunderstandings.
