Bardfield After School Club
The Club operates from a purpose built building shared with the pre-school in the grounds of Great Bardfield Primary School. It is managed by a voluntary committee of parents and a qualified and experienced childcare worker is the Club Co-ordinator, responsible for the running of the Club. Children are collected from their classroom by one of the Club staff.
Every day a variety of activities is on offer. Children can sit quietly watching television or reading. There are computer games, board games, toys, cookery and table football. The craft table always has something different - often a themed activity such as Easter cards or making Christmas presents. The craft could be clay, painting, puppet making, origami or junk modelling.
Sometimes children bring homework from school to the Club and staff help them with it.
Weather permitting, there are outside activities, such as climbing frames, football, volleyball or table tennis.

The aim of the Club is to provide a safe, caring, happy and friendly atmosphere. Children are treated on an equal basis regardless of gender, colour or religion. The Club is registered with the Charity Commission and Essex Social Services under the Childcare Act and is inspected annually. It is also registered as a full daycare provider for Holiday Playschemes.
